As the seasons turn, Boringdon Hall becomes a haven for indulgence and celebration. The glow of candlelight, the crackle of open fires, and the grandeur of our Elizabethan manor set the scene for moments of comfort and joy.
Autumn begins with a touch of enchantment as our Wands & Wizards Afternoon Tea (1 Sept – mid-Nov) returns, transforming a classic tradition into a spellbinding culinary adventure. For those who prefer a glass in hand, our Winter Warmers Wine Tastings (24 Oct & 21 Nov) celebrate South African and Chilean wines, while a Whisky Tasting with The Macallan (7 Nov) invites connoisseurs into our secret bar for an exclusive evening with the brand’s ambassador.
For theatre lovers, our Murder Mystery Evenings bring drama and intrigue to the grandeur of the Great Hall, with thrilling stories and decadent dining. This season includes A Victorian Christmas on 29 November - the perfect blend of festivity, suspense and candlelit atmosphere. The season also welcomes our Festive Afternoon Tea (15 Nov – 3 Jan), brimming with the flavours of Christmas, as well as hands-on festive workshops in wreath making (25 & 27 Nov, 2 Dec) and calligraphy ( 27 Nov, 11 Dec), offering the chance to craft personal decorations and keepsakes.
December brings gatherings to remember. Families are invited to Santa’s Grotto (30 Nov, 7 & 14 Dec), a magical afternoon with creative activities, festive tea, and a special meeting with Santa himself. Adults can revel in the return of our Christmas Party Nights (5 & 19 Dec), evenings of fine dining and dancing, and for those wishing to begin the festivities in true style, Christmas Eve Dinner at Àclèaf (24 Dec) presents a Michelin-starred tasting menu - a dining experience to be savoured in one of Devon’s most enchanting settings.
The season concludes in spectacular fashion with our New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball (31 Dec) . Guests are invited to don their masks and step into an evening of champagne, live jazz, a four-course feast and dancing, as we welcome 2026 in Boringdon’s inimitable style.
